ARABIA, Southern. Saba'. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Unit (Silver, 16 mm, 5.37 g, 6 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette; on cheek, 𐩬 ('n' in South Arabian). Rev. AΘE (?) Owl standing right, head facing; to left, monogram; above, South Arabian inscription; to right, monogram; all within incuse square. Huth 234. Munro-Hay 1.7i. SNG ANS 1461. Very rare and unusually well preserved, with lovely dark toning. Very fine.
